Nothing beats the aroma of bread baking in the oven, except the taste of the bread when it’s fresh from the oven!  Kind of reminds you of grandma’s house.  But bread baking can be a long and complicated chore, especially to a novice bread baker.  At Fredericksburg Farms we remember grandma’s breads too, so we created our line of bread mixes to ensure that folks could re-create those tastes with ease and the guarantee of success.  Our Old German Beer Bread and Vaqueros Jalapeno Beer Bread capture the flavors of our ancestors in hearty, full-flavored beer doughs.  Our Texas Campfire Cornbread mix, with its nice little hint of jalapeno, harkens back to cowboy campfires when cornbread was baked over the coals in Dutch ovens.  And who doesn’t love a good sopaipilla for dessert?  Just add water, stir, and cook – you’ll fill your house with those remembered aromas.
Old German Beer Bread - Fine dining and quality beers are as much a part of Old Bavaria as yodeling and the Alps. Now, the folks at Fredericksburg Farms have brought a slice of Old Bavaria to America in their Old German Beer Bread, a light, flavorful concoction made to be mixed with your favorite brew--imported or domestic. Add a bit of sweet tartness to your beer bread--toasted or straight out of the pan--with our Fredericksburg Farms Old Fashioned Strawberry Preserves. Big chunks of these red beauties in a thick syrup make our preserves the perfect addition to breakfast--or anytime of day.

Vaqueros Jalapeno Beer Bread - Baked to a rich, golden brown and toped with a crispy crust, this uniquely delicious bread will be the talk of your next dinner party. Using a bottle of your favorite beer added to the packaged ingredients, it bakes in just an hour. Jalapenos provide the punch! Heat- 5

Traditional Sopaipilla Mix - Sopaipillas are the heavenly fried, puffed pastry breads served as desserts (with honey) in New Mexico's restaurants, or stuffed with beans or beef and smothered in chili. They're so easy to make, perfect every time, and the kids love them. 2 lbs (makes about 30)

Texas Campfire Cornbread Mix - A great tasting addition to our family! Heat -4

Serving suggestions: Add a 1/2 cup of Rio Grande Black Bean & Corn Salsa with our Jalapeno Cornbread Mix.

Sunday Haus Pancake & Waffle Mix - Early German Immigrants had farms and a town lot in Fredericksburg. Many families traveled into town on Saturday and spent the day trading for needed goods and socializing with friends. Often pancakes and waffles were served on Sunday mornings. After attending church services, the families would return to their farms. Thus the name, "Sunday Haus" was attached to these small frame structures used by farming families on weekends.
